our mission

“Love Jesus, Love others, Serve the World!

Mission

To lead individuals to a lifestyle of worship through relationships, by helping them to

Love Jesus, Love Others, and Serve the World!!

Love Jesus   through Gospel-centered worship is our  upward  expression of discipleship.

This takes place weekly as we gather with the saints for corporate worship. Within these venues, we worship Jesus by proclaiming the gospel through preaching, teaching, singing, praying and celebrating the ordinances of baptism and communion. Each presents an opportunity for the church to receive, remember, respond and rejoice in the work of our great King Jesus.

Love Others  in Life Groups is the  inward context of discipleship.

Life Groups are where our people can connect to the church body. Groups are not perfect and those who participate in them will find them messy at times. However, our hope is that life group participants will be radically committed and challenged. This takes time, prayer, effort, patience, love, trust and hope.

Serve the World  is our  outward  expression of discipleship.

To serve others means we extend His grace and mercy to others for His glory and not our own. It is an expression of love and stewardship of grace marked by humility, generosity and hospitality and empowered by a passion for the glory of God.  Service can and should be pursued in various ways by all recipients of varied grace. Those who have been impacted by the gospel have countless opportunities to serve others by greeting at the doors of the church, volunteering in one of our ministries, singing, giving financially to the needs of others, opening their homes to their neighbors, etc.

what you can expect

What should I wear?

Clothes. That’s our only request. We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person, than what they are wearing on the outside. If it helps you out, our pastors are usually in jeans. So just come as you are.

What's the music like?

We don’t own a pipe organ. Our live band usually consists of guitar, drums, bass, and keys. No robes. No choir. We try to sing songs that are deep in meaning, but easy to understand and that can come from our hearts.

Where do my kids go?

We have dynamic children's ministries from birth to 5th grade during the Sunday morning gathering. The elementary age kids meet with experienced teachers, who will help your children learn about God in a relevant way, as well as offer fun experiences that will help the teaching come alive in their hearts. The pre-schoolers meet in a separate area, with teachers that have a fun and creative way of instructing kids about God and the Bible.

Will I be asked to give money?

If it’s your first time, we actually want you to keep your wallet in your pocket. Just come and experience the gathering. If you like it and come to call CenterPoint your church home, then we believe giving financially to God and His church is the right thing to do as part of the family.

Will I be bored?

We sure hope not. A life connected to Jesus should be fulfilling and rewarding. We strategically plan our worship gathering to engage your heart, mind and soul. We use music, video, powerful teaching and other experiential elements to help you connect to God in a meaningful way.

What is the overall environment like?

We strive to make you feel welcome as you put yourself in a position to connect with God. We even provide fresh coffee, and a casual environment that will set the tone for you to be more focused on God and less concerned about the atmosphere around you. Our service starts at 10:30 am each Sunday.

We understand church may be a little foreign to you. That’s why we try very hard to help you feel at home while you're at CenterPoint.
